Gaining public interest in 1994 with his role in Steve Martin’s Comedy Mixed Nuts, Liev Schreiber has since exercised his talents on big screen roles, independent films and stage performances. With the success of the first installment of the horror film Scream, Schreiber became one of the few actors to have a role in all three movies. An Emmy nomination came after his portrayal of a young Orson Welles in the HBO original movie RKO 281. Liev's stage work includes Cymbeline, the lead in Hamlet and David Marnet’s Pulitzer Prize winning play Glengarry Glen Ross as Richard Roma. For this role he won a Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Play.
Liev loves entertaining as well as cooking for his cast mates and friends, which he does with deftness and skill in his Soho loft on a 36" Pro Grand® gas range with a grill insert. He says he has never enjoyed cooking so much since he's installed Thermador products in his kitchen.
