Air Fryer Cauliflower Nuggets
Your whole family will love these quick and easy cauliflower nuggets. The air fryer makes them crispy and fantastic. Makes about 2 dozen cauliflower nuggets. Serves 6-8 Ingredients For cauliflower nuggets: 1 small cauliflower (about 1.5 pounds), minced (about 5 cups) 1 egg, beaten 1 cup breadcrumbs, for the nugget mash 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon onion powder 1 Tablespoon minced parsley 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese 1 teaspoon salt For coating: 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, for coating the nuggets About 2 Tablespoons olive oil spray or brush, for coating the nuggets |
We recommend letting the oven preheat for 5-7 minutes for maximum crispiness when using Air Fry. __ Note there is no preheat indicator bar when using Air Fry.

1. Add minced cauliflower in half-size steam tray and place in steam oven.
2. Select Steam Programs - then Vegetables - then Cauliflower Florets. After pressing start, add the cauliflower steam tray to the oven.
3. When cauliflower is finished steaming, transfer for a bowl and drain excess moisture with a paper towel. Let cauliflower cool for about 20 minutes.
4. Preheat oven to 450°F on Air Fry Mode. Line a baking sheet pan parchment and lightly oil the parchment.
5. Place cooled cauliflower in a large bowl and gently mash with potato masher, leaving a coarse texture.
6. Stir in the egg, 1 cup of breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, parmesan cheese, cheddar cheese and salt until evenly combined.
7. Form about 2 Tablespoons of cauliflower mash into nugget shape (a medium cookie scoop works great for creating even sized nuggets). Press firmly for nugget to hold shape.
8. Place the 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs in a shallow bowl. Gently roll each nugget in the breadcrumbs to coat.
9. Place the nuggets on the tray and then spray the tops of the nuggets on both sides with a light coat of oil.
10. Air fry at 450°F for 14 minutes then gently flip the nuggets.
11. Continue to air fry for another 1-4 minutes or until crisped to your liking.
