Thermador Announces Regional Winners of its Third Kitchen Design Challenge

IRVINE, Calif. (August 1, 2017) – Thermador, the iconic American luxury home appliance brand, has unveiled the 24 regional winners and 8 regional honorable mention winners of the brand’s third Kitchen Design Challenge. This prestigious contest recognizes designers from across the nation who have created the most inspiring, outstanding kitchens over the last three years.

In addition to an all-expenses-paid trip for two to Southern California for an exclusive celebratory gala on Aug. 30, 2017, each regional winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize and regional honorable mention winners will be recognized with a $500 cash prize. The regional winners will also go on to compete for national grand prizes during the gala. In its entirety, Thermador will award over $110,000 in cash prizes to the regional and national winners of the competition.

“Thermador created the Kitchen Design Challenge to celebrate designers who break the boundaries of exceptional kitchen design,” said Beatriz Sandoval, Director of Brand Marketing, for Thermador. “As we reviewed thousands of photos submitted to our third design contest, it was incredible to see emerging design trends surface, and the unique ways kitchens and entertaining spaces were completely personalized – from intricate custom panel column refrigeration, to multiple dishwashers for the ultimate entertainer, to the artistic materials featured around custom ventilation inserts.”

The 32 regional winners consist of entrants from each of the Kitchen Design Challenge’s six categories: Central North/South, West, Mid-Atlantic, New York/New England, Southeast, and Southwest.
