How to Clean Your Diswasher’s Interior

How to Clean the Filter

Clean the filter every one to four months depending on usage and after washing loads with large amounts of food soils and starch. This will help your dishwasher maintain optimal performance. The filter is located on the bottom of the dishwasher. Follow the steps below to clean it:

1. Unscrew the filter.
2. Disassemble the filter and rinse it under running water. Use a soft brush to help remove the debris.
3. Reassemble the filter and place it back on the bottom of the dishwasher. Make sure to lock it in place.

How to Clean the Spray Arms

Limescale can block the nozzles on the spray arms and prevent your dishwasher from cleaning well. If you notice the nozzles are blocked, follow these cleaning instructions:

1. Remove the spray arms. The bottom spray arm is located on the bottom of the dishwasher. The upper spray arm is located beneath the upper rack.
2. Wash the arms under running water. Use a toothpick to poke through the nozzles to remove any trapped debris.
3. Reinstall the spray arms.
