Freezer Features

Below is a list of features that Thermador freezers have. Some of the features may not apply to your model, so refer to your owner's manual to learn if your freezer has these features. If you do not have your owner's manual, you can download it here.

• Eco mode - When switched to this mode, the freezer saves more energy while still keeping everything frozen.
• Super freezing - Cools the freezer to be as cold as possible ( -22°F) for up to 54 hours. Use when you need to quickly freeze food.

Use Eco mode so your freezer saves more energy.

To use Eco mode, simply open the settings menu on your display and select Eco mode. Once selected, your freezer will be set at 3 °F (-16 °C). Please note, increasing or decreasing the temperature will switch off Eco mode.

Super freezing cools your freezer to be as cold as possible ( -22°F) for up to 54 hours. Refer to your owner's manual to learn how to turn on this feature.

How to turn on SuperFreeze^® :

• 1. Go to the display, and open the menu for changing the temperature.
• 2. If applicable, select the compartment you want to turn on super freezing for.
• 3. Press the snowflake symbol.
• 4. Press the checkbox to confirm the setting.

Tips for using SuperFreeze^®

• Use SuperFreeze^® when you want to quickly freeze food right through the center.
• Switch SuperFreeze^® on for 4 to 6 hours before freezing foods weighing around 4.4 pounds or more.
• When SuperFreeze^® is switched on, increased noise may occur from the appliance.
• If SuperFreeze^® is on for more than 54 hours, the appliance will switch back to normal operation

You can use the following to store your food:

• Plastic foil
• Aluminum foil
• Tubular foil made of polyethylene (PE)

Do not use the following to store your food:

• Wrapping paper
• Greaseproof paper
• Cellophane
• Garbage bags
• Used grocery bags
