Thermador has identified a potential safety problem with 48"" All Gas Professional Range models PRG484GGUS, PRG486GDUS, PRG486GLUS. The affected units were distributed from 1998 to December 2001. The Consumer Product Safety Commission has been notified of this problem.

Exterior operating temperatures of the small oven door and kick panel can exceed normal safety levels, posing a burn hazard. A correction kit has been developed, and can be installed in the home without the need to move the range. It is imperative for this correction kit to be installed.

To date, no injuries have been reported. To prevent the possibility of injury, the small oven should not be used in bake or broil modes until the range has been modified.

Thermador will make this necessary repair at no cost. Please contact Thermador Customer Service toll free 1-800-735-4328, extension 4157, between 5:00 AM and 5:00 PM Pacific Time, Monday through Friday, and arrangements will be made for this repair.
