How Often and How Do I Descale My Dishwasher?
Descale the dishwasher if there are limescale deposits. We recommend descaling your dishwasher at least once a year.
Here's how to descale your dishwasher:
1. Run the hottest, regular cycle without detergent or dishes.
2. After 30 minutes, open the dishwasher with caution and add the descaler to the bottom of the dishwasher. Close the dishwasher and restart the cycle.
3. After the cycle has finished, run another wash cycle for a thorough cleaning.

How to Use Softener Salt
Not all dishwasher models use softener salt. Please refer to your owner’s manual to see if this applies to your dishwasher. If you do not have an owner's manual, you can download it here.
Add softener salt regularly by following the instructions in your owner's manual. The salt will help soften the water used in the dishwasher and reduce hard water deposits.

How to Clean Stains in the Dishwasher
Stains on the interior of the dishwasher are generally due to (1) water hardness (white mineral build-up) or (2) silverware in contact with the tub (discolored stains).
- 1. For water hardness stains (white mineral build-up), use a dishwasher cleaner to remove these stains. It will break down and remove mineral build-up.
- 2. To prevent stains on the tub, ensure the silverware does not come in contact with the tub during the wash cycle. Use a dishwasher cleaner to remove stains.
We recommend using FINISH® Dishwasher Cleaner to clean your dishwasher. Purchase the cleaner at your local supermarket.
Never use a steam cleaner to clean your dishwasher.
