For a lighter spritz, only use club soda for the bubbly. But if you prefer a cocktail with a bit more pizzazz, use 1/2 club soda and 1/2 Prosecco or other sparkling wine. This cocktail is so easy to throw together, it makes for a great party cocktail. Quickly pour a round for your guests or have it as a self-serve spritz bar and let them make their own to their preferred ratios. 2 cocktails Ingredients • 4 ounces red vermouth, such as Martini & Rossi Riserva Speciale Rubino • A few dashes bitters of choice (Hella Aromatic Bitters, Angostura Aromatic Bitters, Spiced Apple Bitters, Chocolate Bitters, etc.) • 8 ounces soda water, or 4 ounces soda water & 4 ounces Prosecco or other sparkling wine • 2 citrus wheels (blood orange, orange, grapefruit, or tangerine), for garnish • 2 sprigs rosemary, for serving |
Directions
1. Fill 2 highball glasses with ice. Pour 2 ounces of vermouth into each glass. Top with bitters and club soda (or club soda and Prosecco).
2. Gently stir and garnish each glass with a citrus wheel and rosemary sprig.
